how did you get the torch to light up a perfect circle on the wall? ALL of my torches leave rings on the wall from the globe or housing. how did you do it?!

No, they buy most of their gear with their annual equipment allowance. Sometimes they buy something out of their own pocket because they need it, but they figure once their next equipment allowance comes through they will just buy something of equal value which they can trade or pawn.

Nobody abuses a flashlight like a factory, utility & construction workers. I’ve replaced more surefire parts than maglite parts. It didn’t cost me anything since I just distributed or replaced the parts.

Lol what dumbass would buy a flashlight for $95?? xD

    HAHH!!!thats so evil!:D

Lots of police buy their own gear, especially in small departments. The duty lights are expensive but they are designed for day in day out high performance in life saving situations. The higher performance explains the higher cost. On the plus side the profit driven competition means the performance is going way up in battery and light technology. Give it a few years and the prices will also come down.

battery acid ALL over the floor?? you can’t be serious…it’s 3 little 3-volt batteries,,,how much battery acid could possibly be in those things?? evacuate the house?? you really are dumb. I suggest you stop watching kipkay videos before you lose a finger or spill some anti-freeze and call in the national guard to come w/a hazmat team…stick to building legos, but do not put small pieces in your mouth and swallow, you can choke. wait a minute, maybe you should….yeah, swallow a whole bunch

A KPR112 bulb is not what you really want if you’re planning on using (3) #123 cells. If you were using only 2 then it would work better. Also, not many of us have a 5/8″ twist drill bit and buying one is costly. I recommend getting a Maglite 2AA cell LED flashlight and be done with it. They are nice and bright.

  12. pzubrikov says:

the one he has but i modafide it a long time ago but i think this will still work kpr118-krypton

  13. Ghakimx says:

Awesome. What was the light bulb you used?

  14. Deathless1One says:

yeah, definitely gonna be making one of those, thanks!

dude this kicks ass man my power went out and i found all the parts and built it in the dark and it rocks!I LEFT IT ON FOR 4 DAYS STRAIT

  17. To6yandChr1s says:

w00t finally something I can actually do and get the parts for XD
Quick question: Does this torch last? I have a feeling it may die due to the cheap-ass model. Anyone care to answer me on this? ;D

Interesting mod, you can get an MDX 5 watt LED light off ebay for like $13 that runs off of three AAAs and it’s a bright as a 3 watt 4D Maglight, now if I could only find a case for a duty belt. I don’t care for the cr batteries due to the expense.

  19. maynerd23 says:

It melts the bezel housing….You have to get a new reflector that is something that is not mentioned. Yes it does work and its very bright. But very HOT!!!

  20. southernboy166 says:

    does it work ???

  21. Lindura says:

    wow..youarereallygood!

  22. WATCHER353 says:

I hava a Maglite 4D led, in every car/truck i drive. It’s designed for those who don’t squat to pee.

…or so I thought till I coought my girlfriend with it.

  23. PopcornCoolie says:

Krypton is inferior to Xenon. Did you try replacing your Xenon Bulb?

  24. PopcornCoolie says:

I’ve had to modify everything I’ve ever owned. It’s ingenuity, not vandalism. Hack defines a sloppy or incompetent saboteur.

Some surefire lights suck and some are great, it just depends on much research you do before you buy.

Police flashlights are so expensive because they are purchased with tax payer money by people whom don’t care because it’s not their money. Surefire knows this so that’s why they market their product to Law Enforcement & Military.
