www.survivalistboards.com www.readypro.org This is a review of a shake flashlight. Its important to test your equipment before you have to actually use it. This flashlight uses an LED bulb so you may never have to replace the bulb, the lanyard strap is nice, the adjustment button is quick and easy to use. The bulb does not have a reflector dish behind it, so it could have been a little brighter. But not having the reflector allows some of the light to shine on your hand. Which might not be a …
@mylarjorgen he got it for around the house when the powers out.. waterproof/shockproof is almost non applicable. he shows how bright it is/range by demonstrating it in the closet and bathroom. he did say how long it lasted as well i believe.
Imagine the amount of electricity you could generate if you could strap one of these flashlights to every male forearm in the world and give them all free porn!
Hookup all these little flashlights into the power grid and I guarantee you’ll have an energy surplus. :p
HerbWalker – you can get these flashlights from the readypro website, a link is in the video description.
Need to get some for some kids for Christmas.
Where can I get these & how much? West Texas
Kev, this is not a hybrid as it only has once energy source, the shaker coil to battery. You also didn’t test how waterproof or shockproof it was, how long it lasted on a one minute shake or any other length of charging, illumination range or its brightness in lumins or candle power. More an endorsement than an evaluation really. Also, did you try out any other similar ones to make a comparison. But at least we know what’s in your cupboard. Not up to your usual standard, in fact it’s rubbish.
Good for you buddy.
in texas you dont say baller
We call those Faraday torches( Micheal faraday Electromagnetic physicist )
To be truthful, I think in any survival situation, anything that doesn’t rely on external power but feeds you an important survival neccesity is worth it’s weight in gold.
As is one of these lightweight little wonders.
no it wouldnt my cuzin had one and it break in a year later it might of been a knock off one
ive got a dozen or so of the same light. battery lasts and recharges just as it should. i like the crank ones better though
Yes.. Provides entertainment and food!
a pinata is an excellent survival item
do your lights go out a lot
Brilliant video, very helpfull, and a good idea testing things before hand!
and there are companys that make fake shake lights i bought on at a flea market the magnet turned out to be a chunk of steel and when the 3 hearade batterys died it was useless and the good shake light i got at walmart runs down after a few minutes from a full charge but if it has tiny batterys in it its a fake and will probly go dead when you need it most
i had something very similar and it lasted quite a while, how ever one of the wires to the capacitor snapped
These are decent for the fact that they require no batteries and they can be picked up for around a buck. The “piston” you described is a magnet. Thats how it generates power – slipping through the copper creates energy much like a generator. These are made by one manufacturer and “re-branded” by tons of companies. All in all not bad for the price, but no comparison to a traditional flashlight with batteries and bulb.
will they last forever
This video could’ve been better if the ‘hybrid’ part was explained at all / better.
Also what considerations would be given to a hybrid vs a regular shake flashlight.
What makes it a Hybrid
We got two for the kids and one is so so the other only works when its being shook and then its not very bright , wasnt that brand but they are also 2-3yrs old
I much prefer to crank my flashlight
I had a few maybe 6 that looked like that, one works now.
He goes to the bathroom to Shake his Flashlight… lol
becarefull when buying some of these i saw some that looked like that as if they charged buy shakeing but they only ran off battery once the battery was dead it was dead. the shaking part was fake. but the one he showing looks legit
