Probably not, at least not in a handheld version. There’s not enough power. Look at the size and power requirements of a tanning bed. You’re not going to get that sort of power out of a pair of D batteries.
Most definitly not … the UV light emited from the sun is enormous … plus you have to take in to consideration the ozone lair(or what’s left of it) , it filters the UV light from burning you , plus the air is not 100% pure , there are impurities in the air , like dust wich also modifi the effect of UV ligh in the contact with skin .
A UV flashlight is nowhere near the power of the UV’s at the beauty salon …. although a long exposure to this radiation can cause skin cancer , it is after all radiation …
Maybe you can tan, if you have a lot of patience. You can buy a flashlight online, but not for tanning, perhaps for making white things glow or to check money to see if it is counterfeit.
